RICE / SAGO KHEER


RICE /SAGO  KHEER:
INGREDIENTS:                           (serves 3-4)

1200  ml milk
60  gm uncooked rice (or 30 gm sago)
20  gm almonds
Cardamom for flavour
10  raisins
Saffron
20-25  Sugar Free pellets or equivalent spoons
                             Sugar Free powder

METHOD:
  • Cook rice in a pressure cooker. Boil milk.  Add rice/sago ( till the sago is well- cooked and transparent).
  • Add raisins to milk and boil for10-12 minutes till kheer thickens.
  • Set aside .  Add saffron, cardamom. Remove from heat and add crushed sugar free pellets / powder and stir well.
  • Decorate with almonds. Serve hot or chilled.
